Bird life in my garden

Today, for the first time, I saw three Redwings jumping around under the willow tree. With this in mind I thought I'd use this place to list the birds I have seen since moving in here, many of them daily.

The last week have been really cold, minus 10 last night! That is why they turned up:

"The redwing is most commonly encountered as a winter bird and is the UK's smallest true thrush. Its creamy strip above the eye and orange-red flank patches make it distinctive. They roam across the UK's countryside, feeding in fields and hedgerows, rarely visiting gardens, except in the coldest weather when snow covers the fields. Only a few pairs nest in the UK."

Really sweet little thrush type bird. Just beautiful, I feel really blessed to see them.
